In mid-2017 we decided to start from scratch and re-engineer the Loogun from the ground up. The only thing we kept from version 1 was the aesthetic design as this is something everyone has always loved. It's time to reveal the all-new Loogun 2.0.
All Looguns now ship with a pack of 4 high-drain AA batteries. We now add these on the assembly line so that they're included with every Loogun as standard.
As a quick introduction I should probably explain that there is a difference between a low-drain and high-drain battery, and a low/high-drain device.
We've receive comments now and then enquiring about why we chose to use AA batteries instead of an integrated Lithium-ion or NiMH battery. I thought it would be worth writing a post about this to outline our thinking and where we see this heading.
Distilled vinegar is cheap and is great at cleaning out the tubing and nozzle in your Loogun. Use it to descale your Loogun if you live in a hard water area.
We are very proud to reveal that Land Securities, the 46th largest company in the UK by market cap and largest commercial real estate developer, now has Looguns in the executive bathrooms of their brand new UK head office in Buckingham Gate Victoria.
We'd been looking for a nice way to display a collection of family photos on our walls for some time. We've previously used a combination of frames but for some reason we never really manage to it in a way that looks particularly nice, so we thought we'd try an IXXI.
The Chiswick Herald magazine this month features an article titled 'Pimp up your cleaning routine' in which they discuss the latest in posh cleaning products and how cleaning is a lot more fun with the right products.
Beeline were also part of TrueStart so I met them following their successful Kickstarter campaign. In that sense we've had fairly similar paths in the early stages of our businesses.
Good Housekeeping reviews are seen as the gold standard by a large percent of the UK population, so we're chuffed to bits to see it published this week.
As a long time reader of The Huffington Post it's an exciting thing to see my product get covered by one of my favourite news sources. Even better is to make it onto the tech homepage alongside the likes of Elon Musk, the entrepreneur and innovator who, in my opinion, stands above all others at this moment in time.
In a feature published in the Daily Mail newspaper today, the article reads: It's one of those tiresome (and less than hygienic) chores - getting out the loo brush and scrubbing the toilet bowl.
Lucy Hedges writes: Donning the marigolds to give your porcelain throne a scrub is a horrible job but someone's got to do it. This 21st century toilet brush spits out a powerful jet of water, making the entire process less gross.
This statistic was part of a research study we did with Opinium Market Research that included over 2,000 British adults, with results that included statistics such as the following: 20% of British adults don’t own a toilet brush 26% think it’s the most unhygienic product in the home
It's a busy month for Loogun and the press. We've appeared in both the Woman's Own and Viva Lifestyle Magazines this month, with Woman's Own saying the Loogun is genius. We like that a lot, thank you so much.
As part of an article on TrueStart, the retail accelelrator that we are part of, Loogun was featured in Retail Week magazine.
I love simple, clean, modern design. This concrete toilet roll holder, designed by Bertrand Jayr and Lyon Beton, caught my eye as it's so different to any other roll holder. It's functional, artistic and sculptural, which is not something many toilet roll holders could claim to be.
It's always nice to get featured on other websites and as big fans of Mental Floss ourselves, it makes it even better.
We're currently researching all the child-resistant packaging available in the market and thought it might be worth sharing something I thought was interesting.
Who would've thought I'd ever write a title quite as complimentary as that, given my absolute disdain for toilet brushes, and the fact that I will never ever buy a brush for as long as I live. Saying that, I have to admit that as far as the design is concerned, the new Saku toilet brush from Cosmic, is the best looking...
